Ag Day 2014

This year we persevered in the rain and wind to set up stalls from working on a business financial plan. Students who followed their plan and were determined to sell their products achieved this on the day. Here is the proof of Team 4 in action on Ag Day.

Daikon season is here at last!

With Spring finally here our Daikon growers Natalie, Hannah and Carla were able to harvest thirty two Daikon for the class to take home to experiment with. Here is the evidence of the Japanese Radish which is usually cooked in soups or grated and mixed as a dipping sauce for tempura. Recipe to follow shortly.

Another happening in Room 3 with the  desks set up in a horseshoe shape which enhances collaboration among our learners. There always seems to be a pair who find a new use for a protractor. Can you spot the difference?

Holidays have begun however not for our cyclists.

Today had the pleasure of attending the Bernard Ferguson Bike Races held at Koputaroa. What an event for the elite and so many schools travel from far and wide to compete. Pleased to be able to support our cyclists, Liam, Simon, Darrend and CJ. Thanks for the experience. Great weather, riding conditions with happy parents and a content Coach. All the best for tomorrow.

Thanks for your comment Claire, hope you enjoy your holiday as well!
